AHDB Education Work
The aim of AHDB Education is to fund
and deliver a range of curriculum-based
food and farming education programmes
for primary and secondary schools.
The areas we cover include meat and
livestock (cattle, sheep and pigs) in
England and Wales; horticulture (plants,
flowers, fruit and vegetables) milk and
potatoes in Great Britain; cereals and
oilseeds in the UK.
Working with practicing teachers, we have
produced a number of online and hard
copy resources, which are available to
support teaching the curriculum. Some of
these are sector specific like Grow Your
Own Potatoes, others are cross-sector
initiatives, which include supporting www.foodafactoflife.org.uk
